The Glitter is Up! Disney Paint series-part 2

I finally got the glitter paint up on the wall on our girls' bedroom!  I've actually done a lot to their room in the past couple weeks, including switching out (and painting) most of their furniture and we've painted all the walls, but deciding how we wanted to use the All That Glitters speciality topcoat proved trickier than I'd thought.  We all had so many ideas swirling around that committing to anything was a little challenging, but we finally decided to use the glitter topcoat to highlight some little twinkle stars I painted on the wall in their nook.

The glitter's shimmer is hard to see in photographs, but it's just the right touch of sparkle in person.

The effect is subtle, but perfectly sweet and girly.

To start, we painted the pink wall you see here with Glidden's Disney Ultra Durable paint, the color's name is Butterfly Fly By, available only at Wal-Mart.

Yes, I really meant we. :)

My other little helper, helped me paint the rest of the walls a fun green by Glidden (Spring Leaf)
.

Adding the speciality finish was a very simple process, and I followed the How-To video on the Disney Paint website found here.  It only required one coat, but I used a well saturated roller as suggested in the video to up the sparkle.

The twinkle stars and glitter design were inspired by the fabric I used to recover the girls' desk chair (the fabric is from Wal-Mart as well).

The theme we are working with is a very loose one.  We are going for a whimsical and fun space with several elements little girls love being incorporated.  Try to picture horses, bubbles, dandelions, twinkling stars, dress up, butterflies, and so on!  Busy, I know, but it is a room for two very special and creative little girls, so we plan to go big or go home!

We have so many special touches to add to this room, and I actually hope to use another Disney speciality finish in the room that I think the girls' are going to love as well, so stay tuned!
